James has played at various cafes, coffee houses, bars, and open mics in and around the Capital District area. Some of James' best performances have occured at Jitters Cafe, MochaBlend Cafe, Slow Jeds Mudhouse, The Coffee Planet, Flavour Cafe, Moon and River Cafe, Troy Ale House, Ilium Cafe, Samuel's Cafe, Fulton Books, Caffe Lena, the Gloversville Farmers Market, Sage College of Albany's Live Lunch Series, and the occasional random street corner.
You can also find James busking on Broadway in Saratoga quite often on Saturdays in the summer time.
